Thu Thiem – Long Thanh and Bien Hoa – Vung Tau railways expected to start construction before 2030

(ĐN) – According to the Vietnam Railway Authority under Ministry of Construction, 9 new railway projects nationwide will be launched from now to 2030 with a total length of over 2,300 km.

Among them are Thu Thiem – Long Thanh and Bien Hoa – Vung Tau railway routes in Dong Nai.

The Thu Thiem – Long Thanh railway will be about 42 km long, connecting HCM city to Long Thanh international airport, with a total investment of some US$3.5 billion USD. Construction is expected to start in 2027 and be completed by 2030.

The Bien Hoa – Vung Tau railway will stretch 132 km, starting from Trang Bom district to Vung Tau city. It is designed for passenger trains at 160 km/h and cargo trains at 120 km/h. Construction is planned to start before 2030 and finish by 2035.
