Dong Nai Province is promoting organic agriculture, with 10 key projects underway.
According to a recently issued provincial plan, Dong Nai will increase the area of organic farmland to 1,323 hectares by 2025, and prioritize organic livestock farming, including cattle, pigs, poultry and goats.

The plan, which will be carried out until 2030, will focus on a range of organic products, from rice and vegetables to fruits like durian, mango and grapefruit. The province will also develop organic aquaculture, particularly in brackish-water areas.
“The goal is to encourage organizations and individuals to produce high-quality, safe agricultural products, boosting their value by 1.5 to 2 times compared to traditional products,” said Nguyen Van Thang, deputy director of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The province will support the development of organic production chains, linking farmers with local processors and consumers. It also aims to enhance food safety, protect biodiversity, and adapt to climate change.
Currently, Dong Nai has nine certified organic farming models, covering 28.7 hectares. Nearly 1,000 hectares of land is under organic cultivation.
