Dong Nai has 19 sea ports  

The Ministry of Construction has announced the latest list of ports in the Vietnamese seaport system, which includes 306 ports, of which Dong Nai province has 19 ports.  

According to the list, in the South, Dong Nai is the locality with the third-highest number of seaports after Ba Ria - Vung Tau (48 ports) and Ho Chi Minh City (41 ports). According to the overall planning for the development of Vietnam's seaport system for the period 2021-2030, with a vision toward 2050, Dong Nai seaport belongs to group 4 of seaports. Within group 4, Dong Nai's ports are categorized as type 1 seaports. Dong Nai will have 3 seaport areas: Phuoc An, Go Dau, Phuoc Thai; Nhon Trach and Long Binh Tan.  

Among them, the Phuoc An, Go Dau, Phuoc Thai port area can accommodate ships with a tonnage of up to 60 thousand tons downstream of Phuoc An Bridge and up to 30 thousand tons upstream of Phuoc An Bridge to Go Dau, Phuoc Thai. The Nhon Trach port area can accommodate ships with a tonnage of up to 45 thousand tons. The Long Binh Tan port area has multi-purpose ports, container, liquid/gas cargo, with ship sizes of up to 5 thousand tons.
