Charity golf event to be held in Dong Nai

A charity golf event will be held in Dong Nai Province to mark the annual day to honour entrepreneurs in the country. The Vietnam Fatherland Front and the National Fund for the Poor will organise on October 7 the Vietnam Businessmen Charity Golf Tournament at Long Thanh jointly with joint stock companies P&T, Golf Long Thanh, and Hoai Anh Le.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front and the National Fund for the Poor will organise on October 7 the Vietnam Businessmen Charity Golf Tournament at Long Thanh jointly with joint stock companies P&T, Golf Long Thanh, and Hoai Anh Le.

Each participant will pay US$300 of which $200 will go to the poor.

Various enterprises and individuals have also promised to donate money. P&T, Golf Long Thanh, and Hoai Anh Le have given each VND700 million ($62,000) and Hiep Hoa Phat Company, VND1 billion.

Others have offered artworks to be auctioned on the occasion – Cuu Long Jewellery has donated a painting expected to fetch VND584 million, and Hoai Anh Le a Bodhisattva Kwan Yin (Goddess of Mercy) statue with President Nguyen Minh Triet’s signature worth VND300 million.

Former deputy prime minister Nguyen Manh Cam has donated a golf set worth VND100 million.

Last Friday the organisers handed over to Ha Thi Lien, a representative of the Fatherland Front, VND600 million as an initial donation to support flood victims in the central region.

Viet Nam Busin-esspeople’s Day falls on October 13.
