At the event, on behalf of the Party and State, Xuan presented the Independence Order to five families, whose single children are martyrs, and the Labour Order to five collectives and 14 individuals.
In addition, the Fatherland Defence Order was presented to 21 excellent individuals and the Bravery Order was posthumously awarded to an individual.
On the occasion, many groups and individuals in Dong Nai Province also received the Government Emulation Flags and the Prime Minister’s Certificates of Merit.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dong Nai Chairman Cao Tien Dung stated that the decoration recipients are outstanding examples of the province’s emulation movement.
He urged them to continue building on the tradition and internal strength to record further achievements in the future and contribute to the province’s development.
The Dong Nai leader also asked units and localities to step up the emulation movement and follow the example of President Ho Chi Minh to fulfil socio-economic development and defence-security tasks.
