Continuously denying the development achievements of Vietnam in order to criticize our Party and State is a sinister and not new tactic of hostile forces. This tactic is carried out regularly, especially during annual or quarterly summaries, or when our country achieves certain accomplishments.

For example, recently, at the beginning of February 2025, a page - a site specializing in posting content that undermines the Vietnamese revolution, with over half a million followers on Facebook - posted a video clip with the status "The illusory 'new era' is ineffective in the face of the current situation and a bleak future." In this video clip, which has about 60,000 views, hostile forces claim that "there is nothing to hope for" because "nothing has changed, still facing the economic and social difficulties and deadlocks that everyone can see and feel…".

Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Quoc Phuong, when providing a specialized report on the overview of the socio-economic situation in 2024; forecasts and development plans for socio-economic growth in 2025 at the Central Report Conference in January 2025 held on January 16, stated: In the context of many difficulties and challenges, under the close and timely leadership and direction of the Central Committee, directly and regularly by the Politburo, the Secretariat, led by the General Secretary; the companionship and close coordination of the National Assembly and agencies in the political system; the flexible, timely, effective, and focused management of the Government; the support and active participation of the people and the business community; the assistance of international friends; the Government and the Prime Minister have achieved important and quite comprehensive results in 2024; all 15 key targets set by the National Assembly have been met and exceeded. Many important indicators regarding growth, the scale of the economy, GDP per capita, inflation, labor productivity, businesses, attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), culture, social security, employment, and the living standards of the people have achieved outstanding results.

The investment and business environment continues to improve, contributing to strengthening the trust and mindset of the people, businesses, and investors. Foreign direct investment (FDI) attracted throughout the year reached nearly 38.23 billion USD, placing Vietnam among the top 15 developing countries attracting the largest FDI in the world; the realized FDI is estimated at about 25.35 billion USD, an increase of 9.4%, the highest ever recorded. This is also an important indicator of Vietnam's stability and development, making it a favorable land and a magnet attracting investors from all over the globe to cooperate, do business, and grow together.

One might ask, if Vietnam did not develop steadily in all aspects, facing "difficulties and deadlocks" as claimed by hostile forces, would any investors continue to pour significant capital into production and business in our country?

It is precisely due to development in all areas that Vietnam's national brand value in 2024 reached 507 billion USD, ranking 32nd in the world, an increase of one rank compared to 2023. The total import-export turnover for the entire year increased by 15.4%, placing Vietnam among the top 20 economies with the largest trade scale in the world…
