Dong Nai’s footwear exports surpass $1 bil

(ĐN)- In the first quarter of 2025, footwear became the first export item from Dong Nai to exceed USD 1.1 billion in export value, marking an increase of over 8.2% compared to the same period last year. Dong Nai's footwear products are now exported to over 70 countries and territories, with major markets including the United States, Japan, and Europe. Most of the top-exporting footwear companies are from South Korea and Taiwan.

The footwear industry in Dong Nai primarily engages in outsourcing for major global brands such as Adidas, Nike, Puma, and Reebok. It is also the province’s largest employer, providing jobs for more than 100,000 workers.

According to the Dong Nai Statistics Sub-department, footwear has long been one of the province’s key export products and holds the highest export turnover. Dong Nai is currently among the top four provinces and cities with the largest footwear export value in Vietnam.
