Dong Nai to develop digital technology industrial hub

(ĐN)- Dong Nai possesses significant potential and advantages to foster science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. The province is committed to leveraging new technologies and innovation to enhance the competitiveness of various sectors.

By 2030, Dong Nai aims to establish a sustainable digital technology industry, with the Long Thanh IT Cluster as its core. The province plans to develop an industrial ecosystem focusing on strategic technologies, including semiconductors, data centers, artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, cloud computing, and blockchain.

According to Director Ta Quang Truong of the Department of Science and Technology, Dong Nai holds a strategic position as the gateway to the Southern key economic region. Long Thanh International Airport will further facilitate high-tech applications in logistics and manufacturing. With 31 operational industrial zones, the province is well-positioned to integrate technology into production and sustainable business practices. Additionally, a young workforce provides a strong foundation for training digital technology talent.

Pham Nguyen Xuan Quynh, Head of Data Center & Cloud Partner Development, emphasized that high-tech industrial investors prioritize locations with clear policies, robust infrastructure, and a skilled workforce. She suggested that Dong Nai introduce attractive incentives, streamline approval processes, and focus on data center development—an essential foundation for building a digital technology ecosystem.

Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People's Committee Duong Minh Dung highlighted the importance of science, technology, and digital transformation in achieving double-digit economic growth by 2025 and sustaining long-term development. He called for actionable plans across industries to drive breakthroughs in innovation and digital transformation, positioning Dong Nai as a leading digital technology hub by 2030.
