(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Teacher College has just celebrated its 30th anniversary and the 25th anniversary of the Vietnam Teachers’ Day (November 20) in the presence of Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Huynh Thi Nga, teachers and students of the school.

Established in 1976, the school trained teachers for junior high schools for Dong Nai province until 1987 when it became Dong Nai Teacher College, playing an important role in training teachers not only for the province but also for neighboring provinces like Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Binh Thuan. From 1997 until now, the college has trained a large number of teachers and management staff for pre-schools, primary schools and junior high schools. Besides, the College has cooperated with some universities to train teachers for senior high schools. After 30 years of construction and development, the college now has more than 200 employees and teachers. Annually, the school trains thousand of students, meeting the province’s needs for education development.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman Huynh Thi Nga praised the achievements recorded by the College over the past years. She said that the college will be upgraded to a university in the future according to resolution of the provincial Party Committee. She also stressed that the need for the College to prepare conditions on material facilities, teaching programmes, administrative and teaching staff in order to be ready to become the university in 2010.
