Dong Nai has identified 279 cases in need of housing support, including 14 families of revolution contributors and martyrs’ relatives and 265 poor or near-poor households. Families of revolution contributors and martyrs’ relatives receive 120 million VND for house construction, while poor and near-poor households receive 80 million VND.
Following the establishment of the Central Steering Committee for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, Dong Nai formed its own committee, led by Nguyen Hong Linh, with 17 members. The province aims to achieve the national target by 2025, assigning provincial committee members to oversee specific areas and ensuring no eligible cases are overlooked.

Dong Nai is also mobilizing resources to support Son La province with 119 billion VND. The local press and media are increasing awareness efforts to encourage community participation.
Nguyen Hong Linh emphasized that although Vietnam has moved to a lower-middle-income status, many families still live in poor housing conditions, especially in underprivileged areas. Since many poor households own land but lack funds for proper housing, the government and society must assist in providing financial support. Wealthier provinces should also contribute to helping poorer regions.

He urged authorities to promptly support the 279 identified households while continuously updating new cases. Local communities should contribute labor and materials to enhance the value of the houses built. Strict supervision is required to ensure quality construction and proper allocation of resources. Dong Nai will continue to raise and allocate funds to fulfill its commitment to eliminating temporary and dilapidated housing.
